About Us
PrepPath was born out of our own experience preparing our child for the Transfer Test. We couldn't find the right kind of help — so we built it ourselves.
Our story
Like many parents, we wanted our child to feel confident and prepared. But we found existing resources were either too generic, didn't truly reflect the real test, or focused on volume rather than understanding.
We knew there had to be a better way — one that combined realistic practice, smarter insights and the right support to make preparation more effective (and less stressful).
That's why we created PrepPath.
Questions designed to reflect the style, difficulty and format children need to become familiar with.
Identify weaker areas and focus practice where it can make the biggest difference.
Children learn best when they understand why. That's why questions include clear explanations and support when they need it.
We keep improving the app based on what we learn from parents, children and how the practice experience works in the real world.
Our mission
The Transfer Test is an important step, but preparing for it shouldn't mean endless worksheets or simply doing more and more questions.
Our aim is to give children the skills, technique and confidence they need — while giving parents a clearer picture of how they're progressing along the way.
What makes us different
We don't want to build the biggest pile of practice questions. We want to build practice that genuinely helps.
Every question is carefully written, checked for accuracy and reviewed for suitability.
Content is aligned to the NI curriculum and SEAG specification — so children practise what matters.
Focus Areas, topic tracking and detailed results help children improve in the right areas.
We take privacy and security seriously, particularly when building a product used by children and families.
Straightforward, supportive and encouraging for children, without overwhelming parents.
PrepPath is for P6 and P7 pupils in Northern Ireland preparing for the Transfer Test — and for the parents supporting them.
Whether your child is just beginning their preparation, working on particular weak spots or getting ready to sit full timed papers, the aim is the same: Practise with purpose. Progress with confidence.
Give your child realistic practice, targeted support and a clearer way to prepare for the Transfer Test.
